Mr. Grin, real name unknown, appears to be the mastermind behind UpWard. Recovered documents show him as UpWard's Director, President, CEO, etc. from the start. That said, there's an underlying tone to these files that seems to suggest something much bigger and darker may have been pulling his strings. To this day, his true intentions remain unclear.

As for Mr. Grin, the person: he seems to be universally despised. Not a single positive account of his character was found. Not from staff nor anyone else. Regardless of how much he was disliked, his authority was never questioned. He seemed to have a certain charismatic, almost natural aura of leadership about him.

He kept UpWard running as a well-oiled machine right up until The Raid. Unfortunately, we were never able to apprehend him. Any trail of him abruptly ends on that eventful night, and his ultimate fate remains one of our biggest mysteries. We don't know if he's dead or alive, managed to slip away, or went down with the rest of it; however, until we have definitive proof of his demise, we must treat him as extremely dangerous. A loose end.
